According to WHO reports, dengue fever is widely prevalent in more than 100 tropical and subtropical countries and regions (Southeast Asia, Western Pacific, America, Eastern Mediterranean and Africa, etc.), among which South America, Southeast Asia and Western Pacific countries such as Indonesia, Singapore , Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, etc. are more serious; the number of cases worldwide has increased 30 times in the past 50 years.
Clinical features of dengue fever
The incubation period of dengue fever is 3 to 14 days, that is, patients generally develop symptoms within 3 to 14 days after mosquito bites. The clinical manifestations are high fever, headache, muscle pain, joint pain, etc. Muscle and joint pain is usually severe soreness. Some patients may develop rash, bleeding tendency and lymphadenopathy, peripheral blood white blood cell count and thrombocytopenia. The specific manifestations vary according to the condition.
