Clinical Background

Infection by Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is recognized as the main cause of peptic and duodenal ulcers and as a major risk factor for gastric cancer. Over 80% of individuals infected with H. pylori are asymptomatic. Infected individuals have a 10-20% lifetime risk of developing peptic ulcers and a 1-2% risk of acquiring stomach cancer.

The H. Pylori Antigen Rapid Test Cassette (Colloidal Gold) is IVD rapid test for qualitative detection of H. Pylori antigen in feces.
